Seller agreement

What we do and do not do

You keep the copyright to what you make. We take a licence to display it, distribute it to buyers and show it in the marketplace — nothing more. We do not acquire your work and we do not claim credit for it.

The split

You receive eighty per cent of the price paid, after payment processing costs. We keep twenty. There is no listing fee, no monthly charge and no cost to try.

Payouts go out monthly for balances above the minimum, to the account you nominate. Currency conversion, where it applies, uses the rate our payment provider gives us on the day — we do not add a margin on top.

Who sells to the customer

We handle the transaction, the tax and the invoice to the buyer. From the buyer's point of view they are buying from us, which is what lets a customer in any country buy from a seller in any other without either of you needing to think about VAT.

Your responsibilities

• The work is yours to sell, and does not infringe anyone else's rights.
• Samples and loops you include are cleared for redistribution in a commercial product.
• It does what your listing says it does.
• It contains no malicious code, telemetry you have not disclosed, or licensing that phones home without saying so.

Sample clearance is where sellers get into trouble most often. A loop bought under a licence permitting use "in your music" is usually not cleared for resale inside a sound bank. If you are unsure, assume it is not.

Review

We check every submission before it goes live: that it installs, that it runs, that it matches its description. We are not judging whether it is good — the market does that. We reject things that are broken, misleading or unsafe.

Support and refunds

You handle questions about your own product. We handle payment and download problems. Refund requests come to you with our recommendation; you decide, and we step in only if a decision is plainly unreasonable.

Removing a listing

You may withdraw a product at any time. Buyers who already own it keep it and keep access to downloads — we will not take away something somebody paid for.

We may remove a listing that breaches this agreement, infringes someone else's rights, or turns out to be unsafe. We tell you why and, where the problem is fixable, give you a chance to fix it.

Changes

We will give you thirty days' notice before changing the revenue split or anything else that materially affects what you earn. You can withdraw your products during that period if you disagree.
